영화 평론 ... 번역사례 : <장화 신은 고양이>는 화려한 칼 솜씨와 카리스마를 내뿜는 킬러지만
<장화 신은 고양이>는 화려한 칼 솜씨와 카리스마를 내뿜는 킬러지만 위기 상황에 닥치면 큰 눈망울로 상대방을 애절하게 쳐다보는 애교로 관객들을 사로잡은 ‘슈렉’ 시리즈 최고 매력 캐릭터다. <슈렉 >에서 조연이던 장화 신은 고양이가 주연으로 나오는 ‘장화 신은 고양이’는 슈렉을 만나기 이전 그만의 새로운 활약상을 그린다. <슈렉> 시리즈에 이어서 이번에도 역시 '동화 비틀기'를 시도한다. 해피엔딩으로 끝나는 동화의 결말을 전복시킨 재기발랄함은 여전하다. 동화 장화 신은 고양이가 잭과 콩나무, 황금알을 낳는 거위 등과 한데 뒤섞였다. 익숙한 동화를 찾아보는 재미를 역시 선보인다.
<장화 신은 고양이>는 액션장면의 연출에 많은 공을 들였다. 고양이의 유연함과 민첩함을 활용한 동작들이 적재적소에 포진해 있고, 이 장면들이 영화에 활력을 불어넣는다. 또한 목소리 출연한 배우들은 캐릭터에 생명력을 불어넣는 능력이 단연 최고다.
하지만 색다른 이야기와 뛰어난 상상력으로 무장했던 <슈렉> 시리즈에 비하면 이 영화는 스토리가 다소 평이한 편이다. 막강한 악역이 없기 때문에 뚜렷한 대결구도가 흐릿해졌고 그로 인해 엔딩에서 전해지는 쾌감이나 이야기 자체가 주는 재미도 조금은 약한 편이다.

As seen in the "Shrek" series, "Story Twisting" is once tried again. The luminosity of the happy ending is still there. The story Puss in Boots has been mixed with "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "The Goose that Laid Golden Eggs." It also showed the fun of finding familiar stories.
The movie "Puss in Boots" puts a lot in action scenes. The actions of a cats flexibility and cunningness was put perfectly, and these scenes put energy into the movie. Also the ability of the voice actors to put life into the characters was terrific.
However, compared to the twisting and creative story of the "Shrek" Series, the story of this movie was much simple. For there was not a powerful evil character, the plain fighting structure was blurred. Because of this, the pleasure felt at the ending and the joy the story itself gave was a little on the weak side. |
