영어 번역문 The Woo Nyeom Jae Soo Seo (雨 念 齋 手 書) is a collection of Bong-Hwan Lee's letters written in Hangul (Korean alphabet) and included in the "Keun Jo Nae Gan Seon (近 朝 內 簡 選)" edited by Byeong-Ki Lee. It consists of 25 letters: 19 letters sent to Bong-Hwan Lee's mother and 6 letters sent to his wife. The above 19 letters are related to Bong-Hwan Lee's participation in Jo Seon Tong Shin Sa (朝 鮮 通 信 使 Diplomatic envoys which were sent to the Muromachi shogunate and to Toyotomi Hideyoshi between 1392 and 1590). In 1747, Bong-Hwan Lee, who made his mark by writing poetry and prose in Korea, as a clerk participated in Jo Seon Tong Shin Sa, which celebrated Ieshige Dokugawa's succession of sho gun (將 軍). Lee frequently exchanged Hangul letters with his mother which inquired after each other while fulfilling his duties in Jo Seon Tong Shin Sa. In particular, the letters which he exchanged with his family made lesson his loneliness and fear and played a role of the only link between his family and him, in the dispatched diplomatic delegation where his life and death could not be predicted. The letters related to Jo Seon Tong Shin Sa in the Woo Nyeom Jae Soo Seo were formed as above.
