국립서울과학기술대학교는 전국 대규모 대학 중 정규직 취업률 1위('06년도)를 기록하고, 대한교육협의회가 2007년 발표한 제2주기 대학종합평가에서 최우수대학으로 인정받았습니다.
Seoul National University Of Technology ranked top in the full-time employment rate of college graduates among Korean large universities in 2006. SEOUL TECH was acknowledged as an excellent university at the Second Comprehensive Evaluation of the Universities in Korea by Korean Council for University Education in 2007.
 
국립서울과학기술대학교는 1910년 개교이래 근대화, 공업화, 산업화의 흐름에 따라 교육과정은 달랐지만 시대흐름에 맞는 최고의 전문가를 배출해왔습니다.
Seoul National University Of Technology has produced the foremost experts, although its curriculums varied according to modernization and industrialization, since it was founded in 1910.
 
우리민족이 처음으로 기술교육을 싹 틔우는 발상지였고 정치,사회적인 격동 기속에서도 국가가 필요한 전문인력 양성의 기틀을 유지해왔습니다.
SEOUL TECH was the cradle of technical education in Korea. It has maintained the foundation of cultivation of professional manpower for the nation in the period of political and social turbulence.
 
그동안 8만 여명에 달하는 엘리트를 배출하여 국가발전의 초석을 다지는데 기여해왔습니다
SEOUL TECH has produced 80,000 elites to contribute to strengthening the basis of national development.
 
국립서울과학기술대학교는 공과대학, 자연생명과학대학, 조형대학, 인문사회대학 등 4개 단과대학과 30개 학과, 6개의 특수 및 전문대학원이 있으며, 학부와 대학원생을 합친 재학생이 14,000여명에 달하는 대규모 종합대학입니다. 산학일체형 교육을 강화할 수 있는 인프라를 구축함으로써 첨단대학의 허브로 자리 잡게 될 것입니다. 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 산학협력 특성화 최우수 대학으로 도약하기 위한 ‘SNUT POWER 2015’에 따라 대학의 질적 성장을 꾀하고 있습니다. 세계 15개국 35개 대학과 글로벌 네트워크를 구축하고 세계적 경쟁력을 가진 대학으로 거듭나고자 합니다.
SEOUL TECH is a university consisting of four colleges (i.e. College of Engineering, College of Nature & Life Science, College of Art & Design, and College of Humanities & Social Sciences), 30 departments, and 6 professional graduate schools and has 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students. SEOUL TECH will construct an infrastructure to strengthen an industry-academy education to become a hub of high-tech universities. We are striving for the qualitative improvement of the university following “SUNT POWER 2015” to jump up to be the top university of industry-university cooperative activities with global competitiveness. We will become a competitive university by building up a global network with 35 universities in 15 countries.
 
국립서울과학기술대학교는 혁신적 교육프로그램 운영에 앞장서고 있습니다. 영국 노섬브리아대학교와 공동 으로 운영하는 UNN 프로그램은 졸업시 서울과학기술대학교와 노섬브리아대학교로부터 2개의 학위를 동시에 받는 국내 첫 외국대학과의 복수학위 인증프로그램입니다. 전공과목 전체를 영어로 수업하는 UNN프로 그램은 영국 교육평가기관(QAA)으로부터 우수한 교육품질을 인정받고 있습니다. 서울소재 11개 대학이 참여하는 NIT연합대학 프로그램은 전문가들의 현장위주의 교육을 통해 학생들의 능력을 극대화하고 있습니다. 2007년부터는 경영능력을 가진 엔지니어의 육성을 위한 ‘테크노프레너(Techno-preneur) 프로그램’을 운영하고 있습니다.
SEOUL TECH is taking the initiative in managing an innovative educational program. SEOUL TECH runs the UNN Program in collaboration with the UK’s Northumbria University. It is the first joint degree program with a foreign university in Korea; the graduate of the UNN Program is entitled to obtain a degree respectively from SEOUL TECH and Northumbria University. All of the courses in UNN Program are given on the basis that it will entirely be in English, and the
program is acknowledged as offering outstanding qualities of education by the UK’s OAA (Quality Assurance Agency). SEOUL TECH is maximizing the students’ abilities through NITU Program, which emphasizes experts’ field-oriented education participated by 11 universities located in Seoul. Further, SEOUL TECH has run “The Techno-preneur Program” for the cultivation of engineers with management ability since 2007.
