철도기술연구원과 철도청 및 관련 산업체의 전문화된 기술과 지식을 세계적인 수준으로 집적시킬 수 있는 기회 마련
To provide opportunities to combine a specialized technology and knowledge in Korea Railroad Research Institute, Korea Railroad and other related industries into the world-class one
고속철, 경전철 등 미래기술에 대비한 교육/연구 여건 조성
To create the conditions for the education and research for the future technologies such as high-speed train and light rail
실험실습 및 연구를 위한 공동장비와 시설을 활용함으로써 극대화된 교육/연구 여건을 조성
To create the conditions for the maximized education and research by using joint equipment and facilities to conduct experiments, practices and studies
철도산업의 전문화된 고급인력의 효율적인 배출
To efficiently produce high-class professionals specialized in the railroad industry
철도 원천기술과 안전환경, 디자인개선 용역사업을 저비용으로 공동 추진
To jointly carry forward service businesses of the original technology, safety environment, design improvement in the field of railroad at low cost
각 분야의 심도있는 전문가를 겸임교수로 초빙함으로써 실사구시의 교육과 공동 연구 활성화
To appoint experts in the fields of railroad industry and culture as a adjunct professor and to revitalize the practical education and joint researches
특별 전문가 양성 과정으로서 직무 재교육 및 연수 교육의 기회 마련
To provide opportunities for reeducation of duty and in-service training as an educational program for training specialists in the field of railroad
철도 100주년을 계기로 선진 철도문화·레저·서비스산업 창출의 기반구축
To construct the foundation of creating the developed culture, and leisure and service industries of railroad, with the centenary of railroad as a momentum
2002년 월드컵 행사에 대비한 문화상품, 디자인, 기념품 등의 문화용역 지원
To support cultural services (e.g. culture product, design, souvenir, etc.) for the 2002 World Cup

학·연·산·관의 유기적인 협력체제로 철도 원천·기반기술의 발전과 공동 연구개발, 문화·서비스· 경영 및 직무능력의 재교육 지원
To support both the joint research and development of the original railroad technology and the reeducation of culture, service, management and performance ability, under the close collaboration system of academy, research, industry, and government
고가의 교육 및 연구실험 시설을 상호 분담하여 확충하고 공동으로 활용함으로써 극대화된 교육 및 연구 여건을 조성
To provide the maximized conditions for education and research by sharing the expenses of high-priced facilities of education, research and experiment and using the expanded ones jointly
