■ 휴학 Leave of Absence
○ 휴학구분
① 일반휴학 : 질병, 직장 및 가사사정, 기타 부득이한 사유로 휴학할 경우
- 질병인 경우 : 4주 진단 이상의 의사진단서
- 직장관계로 인한 경우 : 휴학사유서(보호자동의), 직장 관계증명서(근무지이전 명령서, 재직증명서)
- 가정사정으로 인한 경우 : 휴학사유서(보호자 동의)
- 기타 부득이한 경우 : 관계증명서
② 입대휴학 : 입대로 인해 휴학할 경우
- 구비서류 : 입영통지서 사본(원본제시)
○ Types of Leave of Absence
① General Leave of Absence: When the relevant student intends to take a leave of absence due to extraordinary circumstances (e.g. illness, job-related problems, family matters, etc.), the following documents should be submitted:
- Illness: Doctor's medical certificate stating the necessary period of medical treatment (over 4 weeks)
- Job-related problems: Permission for leave of absence form (parental approval to be included), job-related documents and other relevant documents (e.g. relocation notice, certification of employment, etc.)
- Family matters: A request for leave of absence form (parental approval to be included)
- Others: A request for a leave of absence form and relevant documents
② Military Service Leave of Absence: When the relevant student intends to take a leave of absence due to military conscription, the following documents should be submitted:
- A copy of the Enlistment Notice (the original copy to be included)
○ 휴학시기
등록기간으로 하되, 등록기간 후의 휴학은 등록된 자에 한하여 부득이한 경우
(질병, 병역의무, 직장근무지 이전(지방) 등)
○ Application period for a Leave of Absence
The application for a leave of absence should be submitted during the registration period, but the application submitted after the registration period is accepted only when a student is under extraordinary circumstances (e.g. illness, military service, relocation of work, etc.).
○ 휴학기간
① 일반휴학은 1회에 2년 이내의 기간을 원칙으로 하되 계속 휴학사유가 발생할 때에는 휴학기간이 만료되는 등록, 휴학,
복학기간 안에 휴학연기원을 제출함
② 입대휴학은 실역 복무기간을 휴학기간으로 하되 학기중복으로 인한 경우는 그 다음 학기까지 휴학 할 수 있음
○ Period of Leave of Absence
① The period for a common leave of absence is up to two years, but when circumstances do not permit a return to school, the relevant student may submit a request for extension form during the registration period during the semester when the original leave of absence ends.
② Military service leave of absence can be extended until the end of military service, but it can be extended to the following semester when the relevant student had already completed the semester prior to his military service.
○ 휴학제한
신ㆍ편입학 및 전ㆍ재입학한 자는 병역의무와 질병치료의 사유 이외에는 당해학기의 휴학을 제한함
○ Restrictions
New students, transfer students, or re-admitted students cannot apply for a leave of absence for the semester in the first year under any circumstances other than illness and military service.
■ 복학 Re-registration
○ 복학대상
복학기간이 만료된 자나 휴학사유가 소멸된 자는 복학원을 복학시기내 제출하여야 함
○ Permission for Return Form
A student returning after a leave of absence should submit a request for return form with relevant documents during the specified period.
○ 복학시기
매 학기 등록기간으로 하되 매 학기 개시 후 수업일수 1/4선 이전일까지 복학할 수 있다
○ Application Period
A student on leave should apply to return during the registration period or the day before the end of the first quarter of the semester.
