The world of 'detached mind' is not a closed world but an open world. This world can reached through the observation of 'il mool kwan mool (以 物 觀 物 a viewpoint excluding space and time)'; i.e., that people open their mind not towards the reality of the world but towards truth and then accept the real state of objects and existences without any stereotype and prejudice. Jeong's three poetic works "Okryudong", "Birobong", and "Gooseongdong" are ones created during his travel in Mount Geumgang; a silent landscape of the deep mountain is expressed delicately. The view of self-effacement integrated world accompanied by the extinction of recognition agent, and the exclusion of subjectivity, not showing the narrator is the world of 'detached mind.' The narrator of "Jangsoosan 1" finds the meaning of silence from his anxiety and then attempts to refer himself to silence. This expresses the appearance of the nature of Lao Zhuang (老 莊) and a human that gazes into the essence of it. The landscape of "Jangsoosan 2" does not exist just as a dead object separed from ego. Rather, the different elements at the position (i.e. the correlation of principal and auxiliary) are united; so, they express the state of self-effacement by losing their individuality to be integrated into the whole. |
