[영어 번역문] In my high school years, I was told that I have a talent for foreign language and greatly interested in learning a foreign language. After that time, instead of realizing just an old-fashioned dream of becoming someone, I aimed to have a good command of four foreign languages and to experience cultures of the world, and exerted myself to achieve the purpose. Just before the graduation of high school, I boldly planed to go to China because I heard my uncle would establish a factory there. Unfortunately, I hurt my back in an unexpected incident and had to postpone the plan. I underwent rehabilitation teaching myself Chinese and went to China. At that time people around me worried about my future in China. I went there all alone just after the graduation of high school. However, I made the decision because I was full of confidence to adapt to the new surroundings and of spirit, and fave a dream of success. The first settlement in China was the countryside in where few of Korean people lived and local people kept me at a distance with an amazing look. I encountered a language barrier. But, they became my excellent supporters after knowing my passion of learning Chinese from heartful communication. Then, I moved to Harbin to enter university and was more deeply attracted by China. I traveled various places of China with people on every vacation to enlarge my experience. I learned not only Chinese but also many things about China, such as tai chi chuan, foot message and tea ceremony, much like a sponge absorbing water. In addition, I built up a healthy body through various sports swimming, basketball, table tennis and bowling. In particular, the most memorable thing is that as the first foreign student I participated in the Harbin University Basketball Tournament by the recommendation of the university president and got second place in the tournament. Further, I received an the winner's honor of "the Prize of the Activist Player". The four year of college life in China served as the impetus not only for the development of my latent ability for languages but also for the promotion of cooperation and diligence together with physical fitness.
