한국어 원문 동해안 오귀굿 장단을 연행 목적에 따라 분류한 후 장단의 특징을 살펴보았다. 연행에 따른 기능적 분류로는 부정(不淨)과 청신(請神)을 위한 장단, 해원(解寃)을 위한 장단, 염불(念佛)·축원(祝願)을 위한 장단으로 구분할 수 있다. 첫째, 부정을 물리치기 위한 장단으로는 푸너리․ 수부채 등이 있다. 굿의 첫머리와 마지막에서 연주되며, 2소박 8박자에서 2소박 4박자 등 2박계열의 박자가 중심이 된다. 둘째, 청신을 위한 장단으로는 청보․ 어청보․ 제마수 ․ 삼오장 등이 있다. 각 신을 청하는 것으로 무가 사설이 중심이 되므로 3+2+3혼소박 구조가 일반적이다. 셋째, 해원을 위한 장단으로는 쪼시개․ 드렁갱이․ 도장 등이 있다. 해원을 위한 장단 역시 3+2+3혼소박 구조를 초장으로 삼으며, 쪼시개는 청신을 위한 장단에 비해 느리게 사설붙임을 한다. 넷째, 축원장단으로 무정작궁․ 동살풀이․ 덩더궁이 등이 있다. 무정작궁은 3+2+3+2 혼소박으로 엇모리장단과 비슷한 구조이고, 동살풀이와 덩더궁이는 3소박4박자 구조로 징점을 달리하며 분위기를 달리한다. 다섯째, 염불류 장단으로는 삼공잽이, 육자염불, 고삼, 자삼이 있다. 삼공잽이초장과 육자 초장은 3+2+3혼소박 구조이고, 고삼은 3보통박4대박자(2소박12박자)이고, 자삼은 3+2+3+2 혼소박구조로 무정작궁과 구조적으로는 같으나 무가의 반주를 하는 만큼 장단리듬은 단순하다. We classified jang dan of the East Coast Ogui-gut according to the purpose of performance to examine characteristics of it, as above. Jang dan of the Ogui-gut is divided into the five things according to the function of performance: bu jeong (不 淨 misfortune), cheong shin (請 神 inviting gods), hyey weon (解 寃 solving grudges), yeom bul (念 佛 chanting a Buddhist prayer), and chook weon (祝 願 praying). First, jang dan to eliminate bu jeong are punuri and subuchae; they are played both at the opening of gut and at the close of it and mainly two beats (e.g. 2 small beats and beats, 2 small beats and 4 beats, etc.). Second, jang dan to invite gods are cheongbo, ocheongbo, jaemasu, samojang. They generally consists of group small beats 3+2+3 in that they are mainly shaman's song words to invite each of gods. Third, jang dan for hyey weon are zosigae, derunggangee and dojang, and the first chapter of them are grouping small beats 3+2+3. Slower words are attached to jangdan for zosigae, compared to cheong shin. Fourth, jang dan for chook weon are mujungjakgung, dongsalpuri, dungdugungee and the like. Mujungjakgung has a construction of grouping small beats 3+2+3+2 and is similar to eotmori. Dongsalpuri and dungdugungee have a construction of 3 small beats and 4 beats and their atmosphere varies according to jingjeom. Fifth, jang dan for yeom bul are samgongjaebee, ryukzayeombul, gosam and jasam. The first chapter of samgongjaebee and ryukz has a construction of grouping small beats 3+2+3. Gosam consists of 3 medium beats and 4 large beats (2 small beats and 12 beats). Jasam has a construction of grouping small beats 3+2+3+2; it is structurally similar to mujungjakgung but its jang dan (長 短 rhythm) is simple in that it is used as accompaniment for shaman's song.
