Sick leave shall be granted to employees when they are incapacitated for the performance of their duties by sickness, injury, or pregnancy and confinement, or for medical, dental or potical examination or treatment, or when a member of the immediate family of the employee is affected with a contagious disease and requires the care and attendance of the employee, or when, through exposure to contagious disease, the presence of the employee at his post of duty would jeopardize the health of others.

병가는 다음과 같은 경우에 피고용자에게 주어진다. 즉 본인의 질병ㆍ상해ㆍ임신및 출산, 그리고 약물ㆍ치과ㆍ안과 수술을 위한 검사 및 치료때문에 근무할 수 없을 때, 혹은 피고용자의 직계가족원의 하나가 전염병에 걸려 본인의 간호를 요할 때, 혹은 본인이 전염성질환에 걸려 직장에 출근하므로써 동료들의 건강을 해칠 우려가 있을 때에 한한다.
