"The space of architecture is fugacious emptiness created by the method through the five senses color (i.e. material and light), sound, scent, taste and touch (i.e. texture) other than language."
“The chrysanthemum does not bloom unless behind it there are not any stories that a cuckoo cries and it thunders. Likewise, today's election results from a long story of decades-long experiences of relationships with my teachers, colleagues and students. Further, I owe my election to heaven that granted my wish and to my late parents and ancestors.
I am no longer a butterfly in the blue sky which can fly to any destination in the world. It is time to become a pupa in the dark like a silkworm which waits until it flies. So, sometime I shall be trapped in the eternal cycle of birth, death and rebirth as if a pupa grows to become a butterfly, lays its eggs and raises its larvae.
I like a pen because the thicknesses of lines drawn by it are uniform. I also like a brush because I can control strength and speed of writing.
Because a digital drawing with a computer is used for the analog world, I call it simply 'anatal' rather than someone's 'digilog.' If a brush means tradition, a pen is an Western expression and a computer symbolizes high-tech, like my drawing, I will not have any restrictions of tradition and high-tech on my architecture.
