건강상담의 정의와 목적
Definition and purposes of health consultation

- 건강상담이란 개인의 건강 및 신체 기능 향상을 도모하는 것뿐 아니라 질병 발생을 예방하고 진행을 약화시키는 다양한 접근법과 구체적 방법을 의미한다.
- Health consultation refers to various approaches and concrete methods that promotes the individual's health and body functions, prevent a disease and weaken its progress.

-건강상담의 목적은 증상을 호전시키고, 건강 상태를 향상시키며, 생활양식과 긍정적 건강 행동을 증진시키고 건강 처방에 대한 순응도를 향상시키는 것이다.
- The purposes of health consultation are to weaken the symptom, to improve the health condition, to promote a life style and affirmative healthy act, and to increase the adaptability to health prescription.

건강상담의 필요성
Necessity of health consultation

- 건강과 수명에 대한 개인의 기대 증가로 건강상담가의 도움이 필요하게 되었다.
- As the individual's expectation of health and life expectancy is increasing, the health consultant's help became required.

- 많은 사람들이 생활양식 관련 질환을 경험하고 있으므로, 행동 변화에 대한 중요성이 강조되면서 건강상담의 중요성도 강조되고 있다.
- Because many people are experiencing diseases related to a life style, not only the importance of the change of act but also the importance of health consultation are being stressed.

건강상담 전문가의 자격
Qualification of health consultant

- 의료상담은 의사 또는 자격증을 가진 보건의료인이 수행하도록 되어 있다. 건강상담을 위한 훈련이나 자격의 범위가 명확하지 않은 경우는 건강 증진 상담과 건강 중심 상담인데, 다양한 배경과 능력을 갖춘 보건교육사, 영양사, 간호사, 정신건강상담사, 심리요법가 등이 참여하고 있다.
- Medical consultation is to be conducted by doctors or health professionals with certificate. Health promotion consultation and health-oriented consultation do have the clear range of training and qualification for health consultation. They are done by health educationists, nutritionists nurses, mental health consultants and psychological therapists who are equipped with various backgrounds and abilities.

문화적 요인과 건강상담
Cultural elements and health consultation

- 건강 문제를 논의할 때, 개인적 차이, 사회적 이슈, 그리고 문화적 변수 들은 중요한 요인들이여서 건강상태에 중요한 영향을 미친다.
- Important elements of health problem are personal difference, social issue and cultural variable. They considerably influence heath condition.

건강상담의 목표와 영역
Purposes and areas of health consultation

- 건강 생활 실천 상담은 건강 증진 상담을 의미하는 것으로, 개인의 건강 결과와 건강 상태의 향상을 가져오도록 행동을 채택, 변화, 유지할 수 있도록 도와주는 활동이다. 일반적으로 건강 관련 행동은 금연, 식습관, 규칙적 신체 활동, 절주, 그리고 피임 방법 실천 등이 포함된다. 개인마다 가지고 있는 문제의 범위와 심각성의 정도가 다양하다.
- Consultation of practice of healthy life means health promotion consultation. It refers to an act which help the individual choose, change and maintain an act to improve the result and state of health. Generally, it includes nonsmoking, eating habits, regular physical activity, sobriety and practice of contraception method practical etc. The range and seriousness of problems vary according to individual.

건강상담의 잠재적 효과
Potential effect of health consultation

- 보건의료기관에서 수행되는 건강상담의 행동 변화에 대한 효과는 그다지 크지 않은 것으로 알려져 있지만, 이러한 작은 영향도 필요한 사람들의 많은 부분에 체계적으로 제공된다면 대중의 건강에 유의미한 혜택을 줄 수 있다.
- It has been known that the effect of activity change of health consultation by health care institutions is not so big. However, if the small effect is systematically supplied to many parts of the needer, it will confer a significant benefit on public health.

건강상담 과정
Process of Health consultation

- 건강상담 대상은 검진 결과와 생활양식 평가 후 정상군, 위험군, 질환군으로 분류된다. 정상군은 지속적인 건강 생활 습관을 유지하도록 돕고, 위험군과 질환군은 필요에 따라 의학적 치료를 하도록 안내하면서 잘못된 생활습관에서 오는 건강 위험 요소를 최대한 감소시키도록 도와주는 역할을 한다.
- The subject of healthy consultation is classified into normal group, dangerous group and diseased group by the result of medical examination and the evaluation of life style. Health consultation helps normal group maintain habits for the healthy life. It help dangerous and diseased groups reduce dangerous elements of health to the utmost limit while inviting these groups to receive medical treatments if necessary.
