한국어 원문 첫째, 많은 교사들이 국악교육에 대한 관심을 나타내면서도 교사 자신의 지도능력 부족이나 현재의 교육 여건이 뒷받침되어 있지 않기 때문에 국악교육을 제대로 실시하고 있지 못한다고 응답하여 국악교육을 위한 여건 조성이 시급함을 보여주었다. 둘째, 53%의 교사들이 '국악 비중이 높다', 21%의 교사들이 '국악 비중이 낮다'라고 응답해 국악 지도에 대한 교사들의 부담감이 아직까지도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교사들은 국악 실기지도능력과 이론적인 지식이 부족한 것으로 나타났으나 그 심각성을 인정하고 개선하려 노력하기보다 인터넷을 활용한 일회성 교육에 만족감을 표시하고 있다. 넷째, 국악교육을 위한 환경이 제대로 조성되어 있지 않았다. 국악교육과 관련하여 6%의 교사들만이 국악전담교사가 있다고 응답하였으며, 국악실이 있는 학교는 6.5%에 지나지 않았다. 다섯째, 93%의 교사들은 국악 연수의 필요성에 대해 언급하고 있으며, 특히 82.8%의 교사들은 '국악이론과 실기능력'에 대한 연수를 제공받기를 원하고 있다. 여섯째, 국악교육 발전을 위해 현직 교사들이 제시한 대표적 정책으로 '1인 1국악기 연주의 의무화'와 '교사 국악 모임 활동 장려' 및 '국악 연수의 필수과정 운영' 등이 있었다. 이와 같이 연구조사에 따른 결과를 분석하고 국악교육 개선을 위한 개략적인 해결방안을 제시하였는데 이러한 것이 당장 이루어질 수 있는 것은 아닐 것이다. 그러나 초등학교 국악교육이 국악교육의 전인적 대계임을 직시하는 바 본 연구자의 의견이 어느 정도 도움이 되었으면 한다. 영어 번역문 First, many teachers display interest in Korean traditional music education. They respond they cannot conduct Korean traditional education properly in that they do not have sufficient abilities of teaching it or that a good education is not offered. This shows us that it is urgent to create favorable conditions for teaching Korean traditional music. Second, 53% and 21% of the subjects respond "The percentage of Korean traditional music is high." and "The percentage of Korean traditional music is low.", respectively. This shows they still receive strong pressures in teaching Korean traditional music. Third, teacher do not have sufficient abilities of teaching practical skills of Korean traditional music and its theoretical knowledges. They display a satisfaction of one-off education through internet rather than an effort of improving their abilities. Fourth, an environment for Korean traditional music education is not created fully. 6% of teachers respond they have teachers in charge of Korean traditional music education and 6.5% of teachers respond they have the Korean traditional music room at school. Fifth, 93% of teachers mention the necessity of Korean traditional music training. In particular, 82.8% of teachers want to be offered a training on 'theories and practical skills of Korean traditional music'. Finally, teachers suggest as representative policies for the development of Korean traditional music education 'the compulsory performance of one Korean traditional music instrument by one person', 'encouragement of teachers' group activities on Korean traditional music', and 'management of Korean traditional music training as a compulsory course', etc. In conclusion, this research offered solutions for improving Korean traditional music education on the basis of surveys, as shown above. These solutions will contribute to Korean traditional music education for elementary schools. |
